- Live Action Role Play (LARP)
Find Roman and Medieval reenactment groups all over the world. Find a good list of Roman groups on this sight. Has resources for Halloween costumes, theatrical equipment, makeup and theatrical props (plastic, foam, etc.).
- The Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. (SCA)
If you wanted to find the "perfect" web site for reenacting information, local groups, training, etc… this site would be the example everyone else should follow. Likely the largest reenactment organization in the world, the SCA is very well organized and has serious reenactors (many professionals are members). You will only get "good information" on this site - the members see to that!
- National Association of Re-Enactment Societies (NAReS)
Located in the United Kingdom, they lead the standards in safety and professionalism within historical reenactment. They publish guidelines on a wide range of relevant topics, hold training events, conferences, and act as a forum for reenactment societies throughout the United Kingdom. Formed in 1991, NAReS is now the recognized national body to represent those who re-create history and is the organization working for the benefit of those who employ and watch such representation.

A major resource for Roman reenactors. Good standards information is available on Roman swords, weapons, and Roman Armor. One of the most respected Roman groups.
- The Antonine Guard (TAG)
TAG is a registered Scottish group and is a member of NAReS. Their aim is to bring wider public attention to Scotland's rich Roman cultural heritage by demonstrating Roman military and civilian life as accurately in form, dress and function as safely as possible within modern law.

- Scarborough Faire the Renaissance Festival
One of the largest events in the USA with over 200,000 people attending overall. Held annually each Spring just South of Dallas, Texas, this is the event to go to and well worth the trip. If traveling to attend, plan ahead for Memorial Day weekend to catch the only 3-day weekend and have more time to play! Next season is from April 9th to May 30th, 2005 (Saturdays and Sundays only, and Memorial Day). Congratulation on a 25th Season Anniversary in 2005.
