Swords made of "High–Carbon" steel are not created equally. Our staff personally selects functional swords that are outstanding, very tough and based upon historic designs (several battle-ready swords under $200.00). This special Reenactment Section is dedicated to members of reenactment groups who need to find the highest quality functional swords at affordable prices, as well as ready-made period clothing and battle-ready shields.
For a sword to be approved for use in any reenactment group, it must pass stringent testing, specific flexibility and safety standards (plus other design requirements). Since these standards and tests vary among the different groups, we suggest you check with your organization before buying to ensure compliance and that our battle-ready swords and daggers are approved for use.*
We only list items as being of "SCA–LARP–HACA Quality" based solely upon the structural integrity and strength of our functional swords (not all high-carbon swords are worthy of our listing). Learn more about how to select battle ready swords.

Select high–carbon steel shields that are also available in limited styles (no display shields here!). Several designs of painted shields are available (Viking, Medieval, Roman rectangular / oval / diamond), or get an unfinished shield to personalize with your own design.

- Some swords are sharper than reenactment standards and will require blades to be dulled.
- Some swords may have minor design enhancements to the hilt or scabbard that are not historically accurate – but the exceptional quality or blade strength of these functional swords has won them inclusion in this section. Consult with your reenactment group regarding any custom modifications required for use before purchasing.
