Shipping charges are additional on all products.

U.S. Shipping (including Alaska and Hawaii)

We offer all UPS shipping services available to the lower 48 US States and Alaska and Hawaii.. Canadian orders must be submitted using the Mail Order Form found at the top of our Contact Us page. At this time we do not ship to any other US possessions or any international locations.

International orders must be submitted using the Mail Order Form found at the top of our Contact Us page. Products are to be paid-in-full using Western Union as the method of payment and shipments are only boxed for Customer Pick-Up… which means you have to make your own arrangements with a international carrier like UPS International Shipping (800-782-7892) to have them pick up your order from the RAOG warehouse and ship it to you in your country. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to verify the laws and regulations of your country (the country you are shipping to) to determine if the items you purchase will be approved by customs or confiscated by authorities.

In-stock items normally ship within 1-3 business days, however:
All sales are subject to availability and inventory validation, and you must be at least 18 years old to purchase (select validation box within checkout). To protect your product, all orders are boxed and may require insurance and an adult signature for delivery. Combined, these costs have set our minimum handling fees at $7.50 per order (shipping fees are not included). Please allow 5-7 days to get your order after it ships (can vary based upon shipping distance to destination). Items on manufacturer backorder can take several months to receive due to overseas manufacturing and shipping. Custom frames and armor can take 6-8 weeks minimum to process for shipping to the buyer. Point of origin for shipping is Murphy, Texas. You will be notified by Email regarding any additional shipping/handling/Insurance fees and/or any items that are discontinued, on backorder beyond 3 weeks or if you have processed your order with insufficient fees (see #5 below).

  1. Minimum handling fee is $7.50 per order (shipping fees are not included).
  2. Discontinued items will be deleted from your order as reflected on the shipping invoice.
  3. Items on each order ship the as soon as they become available. We will make every attempt to accommodate changes to your order, however, due to the order fulfillment and production processes there is no guarantee of changes to "in-stock items" once an order has been placed and sent for shipping/production. (Once an item ships, changes and returns will have restock fees applied and there is no refund for the shipping/handling fees.) Prices subject to change: We will notify you via e-mail of any price increases to your order and require ’your reply with approval’ to process the order for shipping. Any items with a price increase may be deleted from the order and a full credit for the amount billed will be refunded (credited back to same credit card used for initial purchase). Pricing errors will be corrected on the Web site within 24 hours as possible.
  4. The fastest way to have your order processed is by submitting your order on-line. Next-Day and 2-Day Air orders must be submitted on-line by 11am CST to have any chance of shipping "in-stock items" on the same day submitted. (Items not in stock will ship when they arrive into inventory by the method you selected and paid for.) For manual orders and phone orders, please allow 24 hours (on average) to process your order internally before shipping can occur. For faster service, place orders on-line. During our busy periods or high volume seasons, manual orders and phone orders can take several days to process internally for processing and shipping.
  5. Shipping companies charge additional fees for "oversized" boxes required for shipping longer swords or multiple sword/item purchases. Additional per sword fees are added to each sword impacting shipping fees. (Also applies to swords with large hand guards or handles.)

(Only serious purchases please.) All orders with partially paid shipping and handling fees will be considered "Customer Pick-Up/Will Call" and we will wait for your carrier to contact us for pick-up or for the balance of the fees to be paid so we can ship the order. Any delinquent invoices will be referred for collections and to legal counsel.

We are not a rental company. You can‘t buy an outfit with the intent of wearing it for an event and then ask for a refund. That‘s not a nice thing to do. We‘re nice people here. All sales on costume items, accessories, and swords or daggers with additional sharpening are final.

Custom orders and special orders must be paid in full for any work to begin, and there are no returns (sales for all custom/special orders are final).

RETURNS / Undeliverable Shipment / Order Refusal:

  1. Before returning any item, please call 972-384-4451 to request a return authorization (required for all approved returns, based upon qualification).
  2. All returns must be delivered back to RAOG warehouse within 10 days of the date the customer received delivery of the item(s).
  3. Defective product returns must be submitted to RAOG within 24 hours of getting your delivery (per shipper‘s delivery documentation) and the return must include our original shipping box/container.
  4. RA# must be clearly written on the out side of the box next to the shipping label or it will be considered as an unauthorized return and the box is discarded.
  5. When returning product, please use a traceable package delivery. i.e. UPS GROUND or USPS PRIORITY with delivery confirmation. There is a 20% restocking fee on all returns, refusals, or undeliverable shipments (NOTE: restock fee does not apply if you were shipped a wrong product). The original order Invoice (or packing slip) is required for all returns as proof of purchase.
  6. Unauthorized Returns: Items returned without prior authorization (including valid RA# on box by label), are discarded without notification. This includes the returning of unauthorized items in the same shipment with approved returns, as well as, items returned after the 10 day requirement (see #2 above).
  7. All shipping / handling fees are the responsibility of the Buyer and therefore do not qualify for credits/refund, including initial shipping/handling fees on orders being returned.

Buyer assumes ownership of merchandise at the time order is ’picked-up’ by a shipping company. Please remember to check your product as soon as you receive it, and if there is any damage you must notify it to the same person who is delivering the product to you. Never sign any paperwork where you say you have received your product in good conditions if there is any damage. We automatically buy insurance for all orders at the full value of the purchase. This will allow you to be reimbursed by the insurance company for the amount insured. (If you have no insurance and sign for the delivery as in good condition, if anything is broken you would have little recourse.)

Credits are applied to the Buyer’s credit card used for purchase and is based upon the item purchase price only. Refusals and undeliverable shipments will be restocked and assessed the 20% restock fee and the remaining 80% of the purchase price will be credited to the Buyer’s credit card used for purchase (a new order would be required for purchasing these items again, subject to availability and price).

Items received in abused condition will be returned to the Buyer at buyer’s expense (buyer sends call tag). Please allow a minimum of 2 weeks for credits to be issued.

All sales are final after 10-days.

Some products may require shipping via common carrier. Delivery time for orders exceeding 500 lbs. may take longer to ship. The Optimus International traffic department will contact you as to the actual ship time and coordinate the arrival of the shipment with you.

Some hand forged swords are given a more authentic ’ancient look’ by blending antiquing techniques with imperfections. The processes used and their results will vary depending upon the manufacturer, however antiquing techniques and/or imperfections do not constitute damage. This would include slight pitting and/or minor rusting. Buyer is expected to clean and properly maintain items purchased.

Items offered at auction or that are on sale do not fall under the refund policy and are sold "as is". No returns, exchanges or refunds are allowed.

Exceptions to the refund policy:
Sorry, but we can not refund your money for an item for the following reasons: you mud wrestled in it, tore it while running away from your date, fought a battle in it, were stabbed in a sword fight, left it in the picnic cooler for a month, washed your horse in it, polished your armor with it, barfed or spilled food on it, let your dog wear it around the neighborhood, painted your house in it, or wore it in a Renaissance festival. If you can think of anything else we missed, e-mail us with your suggestion.

LEGAL DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY:
Absolutely no sales to minors for swords, knives or daggers!! By buying, Buyer attests that he/she is at least 18 years of age. All swords, knives and daggers are sold strictly for display and/or collecting purposes only regardless of being constructed with functional materials. Buyer assumes full responsibility for compliance with local laws on the purchase and possession of this sword/dagger/knife. It is the responsibility off the Buyer to determine that it is legal for this sword to be sold to them and to be shipped to his/her address. The Buyer releases the seller of any and all liability, claims, damages or suit. The Buyer releases the Seller of any and all claims or suits for liability and/or damages, including any claims for the Seller’s own negligence, and Buyer agrees to indemnify Seller against any such claims or suits for liability and/or damages related to Buyer’s purchase of any product(s) from Seller.

Also Note: Some swords (and or daggers) come very sharp. These instruments are NOT toys. Their use requires the training and supervision of a qualified Teacher or Trainer in sword use or fencing. Their use in ANY other form (i.e. chopping trees down in the backyard, etc.) can result in severe injury to the user and to the instrument, and is not warranted Optimus International. If you are not qualified, DO NOT attempt to use these instruments before securing qualified instruction. Owning an instrument such as this carries with it a responsibility to gain the instruction needed to become proficient and qualified in its use. Users should contact a qualified Trainer or Teacher or join a fencing club to receive proper training. The necessary training is NOT available via books or videos; and no, it is definitely not as easy as it looks. Optimus International, its employees, nor associated companies, assume no responsibility for injury, damage, or loss incurred by use of these instruments. All edged instruments can be dangerous when handled by ill-trained or non-trained personnel. We cannot stress too strongly that, without exception, the user of these instruments must get the proper training to insure their own safety and the safety of others.

Pay attention - this part is important. Arms and armor and the activities associated with them are inherently dangerous. By ordering from Optimus International, you vow and agree that you are an adult and accept full responsibility for your actions or inactions and their consequences, and fully release Optimus International from any and all liability and/or suit.

Don’t do something stupid with one of these weapons or this armor.

All weapons can injure, maim, or kill people; that’s what they were originally designed for. Armor cannot guarantee safety, only your actions can. Once you have accepted a shipment, we have no control over what you do with these items. All items are strictly for display and/or collecting purposes only regardless of being constructed with functional materials and use.

Sales Tax

Texas State residents will be charged sales tax of 8.25% added to their total.

Persons or Companies engaged in the business of service, repair, or retail are eligible for reseller certification. As such you may be entitled to notification of special offerings and a tax exempt status.

You may be required to transmit a copy of your State’s sales or use tax permit and a signed statement attesting to the nature of your business to Optimus International, Inc.

It is the policy of the company to charge applicable sales tax if retailers do not supply the appropriate reseller tax identification certificate as required. The company is not responsible for additional tariffs, duties or any form of taxation that apply to items shipped to other states or outside the United States, unless or until governmental policy is established requiring Internet sales to collect applicable sales tax on a state by state basis.
