Arming Caps and Arming Shirts

This line of Arming Pads (arming caps and arming shirts) is thicker and better value than most we have seen. This style of armor pads has been used for centuries to protect the scalp and body from direct contact with the inside of metal helmets and body armor. (If you think about it, this really makes sense and increases your overall comfort.)

Thicker Padding

Our historic Arming Caps and Arming Shirts are designed to be used together as a set, but are also available separately. Perfect for most any period helmet (Viking, Greek, Roman, Medieval, Renaissance, etc.). The Arming Cap has a drawstring, and the Arming Shirts feature nice collars, neck openings and is available in two versions (as a one-piece shirt, or with with slit-sleeves).

Note: Although one arming cap is sufficient for your head, you can combine the cotton helmet padding with our foam helmet padding for extra insulation (if sufficient interior space allows). To ensure hygiene, all sales of Arming Caps are final (no returns).
