Roman Chain Mail Armor
Romans were known for their ability to adopt technology from other cultures, and the Celts were no exception. Roman chainmail armor (or Hanata) was adopted by early Rome as standard protection after being defeated by the Celts in 225 B.C. Seeing the ability of chainmail armor to deflect edged weapons made Roman chainmail armor a necessity to ensure future victories.
To accommodate Roman military adornment, decorative shoulder straps (Doublings) were added. Our version of Roman Chainmail Armor Doublings come in two styles: matching black chainmail or brass.
Made from black carbon steel with 8mm rings. One size shirt fits most (up to 44 inches).
