Viking Chain Mail Shirt

Vikings are historically known as having been wild, fearless warriors. Viking chainmail shirts like this one were critical protection against edged weapons. Notice the front collar has been raised a little to provide even more protection. The back split ensures it can be put on easily and ties close the back split for a comfortable fit. The bottom of each Viking chainmail shirt has a period specific diamond patterned end (aka Dagged or Vandyked).

Each Viking chainmail shirt is made from 8mm round rings of mild carbon steel which has been zinc coated to prevent rusting. Also available in light weight aluminum. Design options include your choice of either butted rings or riveted rings. (The rivets are dome headed). One size shirt fits most (up to 44 inches).
