This Medieval Great Helm is designed after traditional medieval helmets worn by real knights. Made of 14 gauge high carbon steel and specifically designed to be battle ready (functional use).

Reenactor groups have very strict requirements on specs for armor and our GDFB armor is made to be approved! (Eye openings are 5/8 inch.)

Armor Cleaning Instructions Regular use of cleaning kits to maintain high carbon steel armor helps prevent deterioration. Also, foam padding and/or a helmet liner will give your helmet more comfort and a better fit.
