Chainmail Armor Chausses (legging) is one of the earliest forms of leg armor that truly provided substantial protection from bladed weapons. This version is designed after one of the first patterns made and only covers the front of the leg and top of the foot. Perfect for those seeking to enhance early period warrior costumes.

All of our chainmail armor chausses are made from 8mm rings of mild carbon steel which has been zinc coated to prevent rusting and is available in the following designs: butted, riveted, or blackened. One size fits most.
