With his large wings shielding him, you can clearly see the action of wielding the sword is in progress. The strong hands of this angel figure are tightly grasping the sword handle and sword scabbard in preparation for battle. As it says in Psalms 91:11 NIV, For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
