Helmet Padding (Arming Cap)

Our line of helmet padding options includes this 100% cotton arming cap. This style of helmet padding has been used for centuries to protect the scalp from direct contact with the inside of metal helmets. (If you think about it, this really makes sense and increases your overall comfort.)

Dense Padding

Our historic helmet padding is designed to be unseen with no strings attached. (Most other styles of helmet padding, or arming caps you will find have padding extending past your ears and cheeks with a draw-string or tie... and it is a bit ugly when you are going for a good period look.) The dense padding is about 1/4-inch thick and protects your scalp nicely.

Universal crown design of our helmet padding allows for a great look for most any period helmet (Viking, Greek, Roman, Medieval, Renaissance, etc.).

Note: Although one arming cap is sufficient, you can combine the cotton helmet padding with our foam helmet padding for extra insulation (if sufficient interior space allows). To ensure hygiene, all sales of this item are final (no returns).
