Chemise - Silk

This stunning and very soft chemise is made of 8-mummy pure silk. It has delicate ruffled cuffs on the bell sleeves and a drawstring neckline. (OSFA, Hand Wash cool, mild detergent, hang to dry.)

The chemise is like a medieval slip worn under all gowns, bodice and skirts.
A chemise absorbs body soils and leaves less wear and tear on the outer garments (which are usually made of more expensive fabric and cost much more to construct). Our chemise does the same job today. Made from the same soft cotton muslin used to back baby quilts.
