Civil War Rifle - 1853 Enfield 3-band

This British musket was the primary Civil War rifle. Used by both the Union and Confederate troops, it is estimated that almost one million of these rifles were made for the war. The Enfield was known as an accurate quick-load weapon that was also very reliable... and a vast improvement over the older smooth bore flintlock muskets.
