These unpainted medieval shields are battle-ready and fully functional. Use them as-is or personalize your shields with your own heraldry (family crest or coat-of-arms) or medieval shield symbols to create your own unique shield.
Each of these medieval shields is available with either a hanging back-chain (perfect for interior decorating) or with two 1 1/2 inch genuine leather straps already attached so you can use it right out of the box. Made with the re-enactor in mind, these tough medieval shields should be easily approved as SCA quality. (Additional edge padding might be required by some SCA groups.)

Note: Allow 3-4 weeks for manufacturing. Additional shipping fees apply. If painting shield yourself, use any oil based enamel paint. Allow initial painting to dry thoroughly (2 days), then lightly coat with 2 coats of Polyurethane spray (optional).... either satin or semi-gloss is good here. Do not spray on too heavily. Can crack painted areas with some spray coating. Do not spray with lacquer or acrylic (too harsh). Let dry again for 1 day. |
