Decorative Roman Shield

This light weight Roman shield is similar to our wooden functional version, only it is made from a light weight metal. This is a perfect solution for people needing a Roman shield for stage or display.

Beautifully painted with eagle wings and lightening bolts, this Roman shield was one of several types assigned to every Roman soldier (just as their uniforms and swords were). To meet the unique needs of the Legionnaire, the Romans incorporated a curved rectangular design which allowed the shield to function better and be less cumbersome in battle.
