Pompeii Royal XX

This grand Roman sword is of the later Pompeii sword design and has been endorsed by Legion XX reenactment group as one of two Roman swords that are, “inexpensive, off the shelf, gladii that are acceptable... the blades are correctly shaped.” This Pompeii design has the characteristic streamlined blade and diamond point.

Made of high-carbon steel, this Roman sword has a simulated white bone handle with beautiful wood pommel and guard. The elaborate hard leather wrapped scabbard has four belt rings and elaborate engraved brass plating. Take one home today and enjoy the grandeur of owning a piece of Roman history.

This is a perfect sword for those who will not be in full-contact situations and still want the advantage of a historically accurate Roman sword in a maintz design.

This hand forged sword has been designed for a more authentic “ancient look” by blending antiquing techniques with imperfections in the scabbard, blade and handle. The processes used and their results will vary, however, antiquing techniques and/or imperfections do not constitute damage.
