The short 19 inch over all length and hour-glass shaped broad-leaf blade is characteristic of Greek influenced Roman swords used early in the Roman Empire. The nice wood handle is longer than most and shaped in more of a Greek design. The blade of this Roman sword is made of high-carbon steel.
