The Scramasax (SH1075) was carried by both Saxons and Vikings between the 4th and 10th centuries. Made in a wide range of sizes, the scramasax was used as both a weapon and tool. As a weapon it was carried horizontally, at the back of the belt and provided the spearman with a close-quarters weapon. As a tool, the scramasax could be used on a variety of ways, most commonly as utensil in camp.

This Scramasax is made by Hanwei with a beautiful foot-long blade. The high-carbon steel blade would provide both slashing and thrusting power in battle while handling heavy-duty chores around the home and camp. Note the Celtic designs on the pommel and guard compliment the wood grain handle. Equipped with leather horizontal-carry sheath.
