Witnessing Tool

Side one of the Witnessing Coin shows two cliffs and the cross of Jesus. When using the coin to witness, explain that the cliffs represent the separation between mankind (on the left cliff) and God (on the right cliff) which is caused by our own sin, which everyone has (Romans 3:23). The deep pit sin creates separates a person from God and nothing we do of our own effort can restore us with God.

Next, explain that God loves each person so much that he sent His own Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty for our sins by dying on the cross for us, and that Jesus rose from the dead and is alive today! His resurrection is victory over all sins and death itself. Jesus is the only eternal Savior, and He is the only “bridge” that allows people to be reunited with God. Now simply ask if they would like to be forgiven for any sins – no matter how bad they are, and start a new life knowing Jesus personally… right now.

The Belt of Truth is to be wrapped around our mind, body and soul. The truth is found in who God is and what He says in His Word (the Bible). God's truth is real, significant, eternal truth without compromise or error. It is reliable and revealed to you in scripture.

The Helmet of Salvation is salvation from sin by trusting in Christ Jesus alone for forgiveness. Your mind is renewed by the Word to think biblically. This mental focus protects thoughts and imagination from being overcome by temptation, testing, and trials.

The Breastplate of Righteousness covers the heart, protecting emotions and desires vital to a successful Christian life. When Satan’s arrows fly at your heart to sway devotion to Christ or entice you with temptation, the righteousness of Jesus Himself guards your heart.

The Shoes of the Preparation of the Gospel of Peace represents a Christian believer sharing the good news of how to have peace with God through Jesus alone. Wearing the shoes includes being prepared and “stepping out of a comfort zone” to share Jesus with folks who need Him desperately.
